Identification Screening Basics
This course covers the various ways that underage drinkers try to sneak into clubs and bars and strategies to detect fake, altered or borrowed identification and what to do when you receive bad I.D.
Getting certified with the Illinois Liquor Control Commission through our web-based alcohol safety training course takes about 5 hours to complete.
The Illinois Liquor Control Commission requires a personl taking a Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training (BASSET) program to complete the online course in 1 six-hour sitting.
You must score 70% to pass You will have 2 attempts to pass the final exam and if you don't, you'll have to take the course over again (free of charge).

Basset Frequently Asked Questions
Your online BASSET certification will take approx 5 hours to complete without breaks for a total of 6 course credit hours. You may, however, take a break anytime you wish and complete the course at your leisure. When you log out the system will bookmark your last study point. You must pass the final exam with a score of at least 70%. You will have two attempts to do so. Don't worry about trying to remember all the details; we'll remind you about all the important fine points when you enroll and begin your course.

Will my computer work with this course?
Most all PC computers will work with this course as long as you have Internet access. You can login from any computer, as long as you are connected to the Internet. Just remember your username and password.
Is my credit card and personal information safe?

Enroll in the course, complete the course in less than a 6-hour time span, pass the final exam with a 70% or more and you will have access to a customized printable certificate. Since Learn2Serve is the most widely used program in Texas it's unlikely your employer won't accept that as immediate proof. You'll receive your official certificate by standard mail within 2-5 business days.
